This accesory is a rectangular pad covered with Neoprene that is secured to the back support with four straps that have Fastex Buckles. At the end of the straps are four easy to install end fittings. The mounting location is at the height of the clients abdominal area. The tension of the abdominal pad is adjustable. This accessory is beneficial when a client needs abdominal input to hold them back in the chair preventing a lordotic posture.
Positioning Belts, Straps and Pads found in this section enhance the positioning of the upper trunk and lower extremities. Many of the Positioning Belts and Straps are available with pads. Those without can be retrofitted with our padded sleeve options. All choices come with the appropriate mounting hardware.
The BioForm Line of Anterior Trunk Supports are available in Neoprene (Rubatex), Reverse Dartex, Vinyl (Naugahyde), and Ballistic Nylon. Neoprene is effective when control is needed but a stretch component would prove beneficial. Reverse Dartex will offer a more rigid support than Neoprene while still having some elasticity, as well as providing an easy to clean surface. Vinyl (Naugahyde) will offer the most rigid support as well as a surface which handles fluids and cleanings most easily. Ballistic Nylon is the preferred material when the consumer will try to orally or otherwise try to destroy the harness.

The BioForm Abdominal Binders provide a crafty solution for proper positioning of a clients ´ mid section. It is constructed from a½" piece of Sunmate foam covered in Neoprene with four straps attached to the body of the Abdominal Binder. Straps are equipped with Tri-Glides (for easy adjustment) and End fittings for easy mounting. Available in 3 sizes.
This option is a sensible choice when presented with the problem of a lordotic midsection that you would like to hold rearwards in the wheelchair.
If color other than Black Neoprene is desired, replace the last two letters of the model number (NB) with those from Color Selection section. i.e.- NAS-NB becomes NAS-NE when color Eggplant is desired.
